A 32-year-old Dillon man was arrested Saturday at a New York airport by federal agents for allegedly assaulting officers, obstructing justice and other crimes related to the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riots.

Second local businessman arrested for Capitol riots participation

Dillon businessman Isaac Steve Sturgeon was arrested by federal agents Saturday at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York for charges stemming from the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riots. He is charged with shoving a metal police barricade into Metropolitan police officers during the incident, according to court records.

Muntzer: Grand jury indictment adds three charges

A local businessman pleaded not guilty Friday to additional charges resulting from his alleged participation in the U.S. Capitol riots Jan. 6.

Henry “Hank” Muntzer, owner of Dillon Appliances Inc., pleaded not guilty to five total charges in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

A local businessman who attended and allegedly entered the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 riots was arrested by local police Monday afternoon.

Henry “Hank” Muntzer was taken into custody by Dillon police officers at the request of federal agents around 5 p.m. Monday in downtown Dillon, Chief Don Guiberson said. He was arrested on federal charges related to the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol, where a mass of people wearing Trump-supporting gear stormed the halls of Congress and interrupted the vote count to affirm the winner of the November elections, President-elect Joe Biden.

Dillon businessman Henry "Hank" Muntzer was arrested around 5 p.m. Monday by local police at the request of federal agents, who are investigating participants who allegedly took part in the U.S. Capitol riots Jan. 6. Dillon Police Chief Don Guiberson did not have details Tuesday afternoon on what charges Muntzer faces in regards to the event.
