The wrestling season is winding down a bit, and last Tuesday Dillon confronted the Butte High JV in a Senior Night match for the Beavers at B.W. Lodge. Butte High won the match, 54-20.

Dillon seniors Noah Huffaker and Tate Hansen met expectations with dominating wins on the night. Huffaker opened the night with an exhibition match versus James Holmes of Butte and pinned him in 1:14. In his match during the team competition, Huffaker toyed with Jeremiah LaPier throughout a 15-0 technical fall. Both matches were at 126-pounds.

Tate Hansen won his team competion match at 152-pounds with a pin in 2:43 over Butte’s Kale Schonsberg. He added a 48 second pin over Mason Armstrong of Butte as an exhibition match.

Mateo Rupolo came out strong with a takedown at 285, but as often happens at the weight, during a reversal, the Butte guy landed on top and pinned Dillon’s second-year heaveyweight.

There was no match for Dillon’s only girl senior, Simah Anson. She will celebrate her Senior Night when Dillon hosts a girls mixer later this month.
