UMW 50th Rodeo Banquet April 6

The University of Montana Western’s annual Community Rodeo Banquet is scheduled for Friday, April 6, 2018 in the Keltz Arena on the Montana Western campus.

This year’s event will be the 50th anniversary of the UMW Rodeo Banquet. Banquet proceeds provide rodeo student athletes with scholarships and partial travel expenses during the regular season and for the College National Finals at the academic year’s end.

Trail races April 21

The Climb the M Fund Run will take place April 21 along the Dillon Town Overlook Trail off Ten Mile Road just west of Dillon. A 15k race will start at 9 a.m., followed by a 5k at 10 a.m. The event will include divisions for men and women, along with different age categories, with the top three overall finishers earning prizes. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the University of Montana Western cross-country team and the Beaverhead Trails Coalition. Race-day registration can be done 7:30–8:30 a.m. at the trailhead. Kickoff Concert June 2

The Dillon Jaycees have announced the lineup for the 2018 Summer Kick-Off Concert at the Beaverhead County Fairgrounds on June 2, when Canadian country singer/songwriter Corb Lund will headline following opening act Tylor & the Train Robbers.
