Our Lord took a special angel home. Tammy Rae (Patrick) Hatfield, 54, of Dillon, Montana, lost her brave battle with cancer on Sept. 19, 2018.

Tammy was born in Deer Lodge, Montana, on Jan. 8, 1964. She moved to Dillon with her family where she attended grade school. She graduated from Beaverhead County High School in May 1982. She also attended the University of Montana Western.

Tammy married Mark Hatfield on July 10, 1982, and they were married for 36 years.

Tammy worked for Pioneer Federal 1982 to 1996. After a short hiatus she worked for High Peaks Federal Credit Union from 1998 to present. While there, she served as CEO of the main office in Dillon and supervised branch offices in Whitehall and Sheridan, Montana.

Tammy had many hobbies – growing flowers, camping, riding their side-by-side in the mountains near her home. She was a gracious hostess and loved entertaining family and friends in her home. Her home was the center of many holiday, birthday and family gatherings. Christmas was her favorite time of the year. She beautifully decorated her home for the season. Tammy loved her home and enjoyed sharing it with everyone. Tammy loved everything about life. Tammy was our family Matriarch!

Tammy served as treasurer of Little League Baseball and never missed a game that her son played in. She strongly supported her daughter, Brittany, in her business venture “Tru Lux Salon.” She loved to fall asleep with the sound of running water, thus they purchased a home next to the river. She loved song birds. She especially liked bald eagles, her family dogs, chickens, and Keith and Kayla’s ducks! She was a supporter of the Montana Youth Challenge Program.

The highlights and most joyous time for Tammy was her marriage to Mark as well as the birth of her two children.

Tammy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Patrick and Nancy (Graham) Patrick, and brother-in-law Marty Hatfield.

Tammy is survived by husband Mark Hatfield; son Keith (Kayla); daughter Brittany Hatfield; brother Jerry (Karen) Patrick; sister Tana (Rick) Coppin; father and mother-in-law, Marion and Lorene Hatfield; sisters-in-law Marlene (Jim) Williamson and Marsha (Martin) Malesich; brother-in-law Marlon, Alaska; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2:30 p.m., at the Lutheran Church, Dillon. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by Brundage Funeral Home. A guestbook is available online at www.brundagefuneralhome.com.
