The Dillon Lady Beavers fell to Class B Anaconda and perennial Southwestern A power Corvallis in a pair of home matches last week. Dillon felt the sting of a sweep in both matches.

“Against Anaconda I thought we did some nice things,” said Dillon coach Susie Valach. “I was feeling that things were gradually falling into place. I didn’t feel so great after the Corvallis game. It seemed like we took a step back.”

The Lady Beavers fell to Anaconda on Tuesday night, 20-25, 13-25, 19-25. In Saturday’s Homecoming match, Dillon lost 12-25, 20-25, and 11-25. Ainsley Shipman led Dillon

Ainsley Shipman led Dillon with 9 kills, a block, 13 digs and 2 aces versus Anaconda. Jordyn Walker added 6 kills. On Saturday, there were no stat lines of note as Dillon fell to 0-5.

Coach Valach said the practice priority will be improving serve-receive.

Butte Central postponed Thursday’s match. Dillon faces Laurel on Saturday.
