The local police gained another officer law week--and another language.The Dillon City Council unanimously approved of the appointment of Joshua Aguirre as a patrolman with the Dillon Police Department.A native of San Diego whose father came to the U.S. from Mexico, Aguirre speaks fluent Spanish.That skill, according to Aguirre’s new boss, Dillon Police Chief Jeremy Alvarez, will greatly aid local law enforcement in its efforts to more effectively interact with the increasing number of Spanish speaking folks in Beaverhead County.“My dad is Hispanic.
