A rain storm last Wednesday dumped a lot of water in a short time on the Dillon area. According to the National Weather Service, the Dillon area gets a little more than 11 inches of precipitation a year. In less than an hour last week, Dillon received .46 inches of water according to Tom Nichols at the UMW weather station.

Monday morning, residents were greated with a coat of wet snow covering the Dillon area.
