Go deep state

To the editor,

I just bought a book entitled “Killing the Deep State” by Jerome R. Corsi, Ph.D. It is subtitled “The Fight to Save President Trump.” After reading it, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of this book for our time..

On Dec. 23, 1776 Thomas Paine wrote an essay entitled “The Crisis.” It opened with the memorabh words: “These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”

I firmly believe that we are facing a crisis of equal magnitude in the current state of our political affairs.

The paper cover on the Deep State book carries this message: “Investigative journalist and #1 New York Times best-selling author Jerome Corsi blows the lid off the secret conspiracy to destroy the Trump presidency. President Trump is the target of a virtual coup d’etat being undertaken by the Deep State, the FBI, CIA, NSA, and other intelligence and military agencies that maintain a continuing commitment to a globalist New World Order.”

The Democratic Party has been usurped by a number of socialists many of whom, ironically, are millionaires and even multi-millionaires. Their aim is to abolish national borders and allow or even encourage people from other countries, some of which are our sworn enemies, to come here and enjoy the bounty of living on welfare with free medical care a free college education and subsidized rent.

When Trump won the election the first time, the leftist publication, “The Nation,” published the following:

“And so many of our hopes - for free public college, a livable minimum wage, expanded social security, a path to universal health care, paid family leave,, an end to private prisons, the abolition of the death penalty - now lie shattered.... Which means we have to apply even greater pressure from the left: to march in greater numbers, to shout out louder against injustice, and to summon and be prepared to sustain everyday massive nonviolent civil disobedience on a scale not seen in this country for decades.”

“In her post election book ‘What Happened,’ Hillary speculated that her presidency ‘would have been transformative’ by implementing higher minimum wages, expanding social welfare programs, and increasing government intervention into our economic and social lives by a host of new regulations imposed by an ever-expanding corps of unelected bureaucrats.” The Democrats, from the beginning, were

The Democrats, from the beginning, were determined to obstruct every piece of legislation Trump put forward, no matter how desirable it might be for the nation.

“But for those dark, resentful, but determined Democratic ambitions to succeed, the Democrats knew they could count on the willing and enthusiastic cooperation of the Deep State.”
