Barrett Hospital hires CCO


Barrett Hospital & Health-Care has hired a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO). Carolyn Hansen will manage the nursing and clinical operations departments, along with providing strategic direction to the leadership team. Hansen’s first day at the Dillon hospital was Monday.

Prior to joining Barrett, Hansen served since 2014 as chief nursing officer at Bingham Memorial Hospital and Grove Creek Medical Center in Blackfoot, Idaho. In her more than 20 years of nursing experience, Hansen has also served as director of nursing, medical provider, and quality services director for a variety of organizations, including a geriatric psychiatric unit and a county jail.

Hansen earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Idaho State University in Pocatello, and a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from Simmons College in Boston, Mass. In addition, she is also certified as a bariatric nurse.
