June 24 – The Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade and revoked the federal constitutional right to abortion with their ruling today. The decision is an attack on women’s rights and reproductive freedom and will have life-altering consequences for all women and other people who can become pregnant. We know the burdens of pushing abortion care out of reach are not borne equally; women of color, young people, immigrants, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ communities will be disproportionately affected. The decision will also have deadly consequences for Black women, who already face a severe maternal mortality crisis. We urge everyone to continue to fight and defend abortion rights by making their voices heard, donating to abortion funds, and sharing their stories to fight the stigma of abortions.
