James Michael Moses, of Dillon, passed away March 25. He was born Jan. 3, 1952. He is survived by his children: Britnee (Jake) Moses Butte, of Avon; Toby “Tyler” (Kristen) Moses, of Kimberly, ID; and Colter “Toad” (Brittany) Moses, of Leadore, ID. Joann Margaret McCarvel Nelson 1934 – 2018

Joann Margaret McCarvel Nelson, born June 7, 1934, in Anaconda, Montana passed away on March 24, 2018 in Kalispell, Montana surrounded by her loved ones. Joann was the daughter of former Mayor of Anaconda, Thomas McCarvel and Margaret Ridge McCarvel. Joann was 100% Irish Catholic. She attended St. Paul’s Grade School in Anaconda, Anaconda Central High School, Montana Tech, in Butte, University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana State University and Blackfoot Community College.

Patricia Miller 1929 – 2018

Patricia Mae Saling Hunt Miller passed away March 14. She is survived by: her daughter, Marcia Hagenbuch (Chris), of Grangeville, ID; and her sons, Doug (Diane) Hunt, of Sisters, OR, Terry (Virgina, deceased), of Renton WA, and Mike, of Dillon. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.

Gary Lee Stoddard 1951 – 2018

Gary Lee Stoddard, 67, was born January 2, 1951, to Lee and Emma Stoddard in Durango, Colorado.

The family lived near Durango until (circa) 1965, when they moved to Whitehall, where Gary attended high school. It was during his schooling there that his mother passed away in his sophomore year, and his father passed away a year later. Shortly after, the Rust family of Whitehall took him in as one of their own. Francis and “Ma” Rust, siblings Bill, David, Paul and Linda soon became his lifelong family.

Johanna Vinson 1932 – 2018

Johanna Vinson passed away March 5, at Pioneer Care in Dillon. She was 85.

Johanna was born October 2, 1932, in Kulmbach, Germany. Losing her father in Italy during WWII, she grew up with her mother and four siblings in the not-so-pleasant times. At the age of 14, she went to work in a factory in Germany to help support her family.
