Library taking some days off in coming week
The Dillon Public Library will close at noon Thursday, October 5, and be shut all day Friday, October 6, due to staff being out of town for training. The Library will also be closed all day Monday, October 9, for Columbus Day. For more information, call 683-4544.

Street & Alley Comm. meets Mon.
The Dillon City Council’s Street & Alley Committee will hold its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, in City Council Chambers, 125 N. Idaho St. in downtown Dillon. For more information, call 683-4245.

Monday: About a 70 percent chance of precipitation today in the form of rain and/or snow, as temperatures will creep up from a low near freezing at dawn into the low 40s in the afternoon. Morning lights winds from the southwest will shift to from the northeast around 10 a.m., and increase to around 10 mph in late afternoon.
Monday Night: COLD AND SNOW ALERT! The wind chill factor could drop into the teens, as temperatures decline into the 20s and NE winds blow around 10 mph; chances of precipitation as high as 80 percent, with snow accumulations of around an inch possible.

Tuesday: COLD ALERT! Wind-chill temperatures could remain in the teens, with afternoon winds from the northeast and the thermometer climbing from a low in the mid-20s at dawn to the 30s in late afternoon, with an approximately 20 percent chance of precipitation in the morning.
Tuesday Night: COLD ALERT! The wind-chill temp could drop to as low as 10 degrees, with temperatures bottoming at around 24 degrees near dawn, with northeastern of around 8 mph occasionally gusting.
