WEATHER
Saturday: Temperatures peaking at about 80 degrees in afternoon under partly cloudy and smoky skies, with no chance of rain in morning rising to about 20 percent in the afternoon, and NE winds at 7–17 mph.
Saturday Night: Chance of rain dropping to almost zero after 3 a.m. when temperatures will fall to near 50 degrees and NE winds shift to from the SE at around 5 mph.
Sunday: Temperatures again rising to about 80 degrees in late afternoon, with almost no chance of rain throughout the day, with light winds from SE shifting to from NE and picking up to around 10 mph.
Sunday Night: Temperatures dipping below 50 degrees after midnight, when the chance of rain will drop to about zero, with NE winds of about 10 mph.

EVENTS
Relay for Life Fri.
The Southwest Montana Relay for Life, a benefit for cancer patients and their families sponsored through the American Cancer Society, will take place on and wthin the Kennedy Trail by Barrett Hospital in Dillon on Friday, Aug. 4, from 3 p.m. to midnight. The Dillon Farmers Market will continue to offer “the homegrown and handmade” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays through Sept. 23 in the Wells Fargo parking lot on the west side of Montana Street in downtown Dillon. Twin market Saturdays
The Twin Bridges Farmers Market will convene Saturdays through September from 9 a.m. to noon to offer baked goods, fruits, flowers and vegetables from local and Hutterite vendors in Main Street Park between the Firehall and The Old Hotel in Twin Bridges. Big Hole Battle ceremonies Sat.
The 140th Annual Commemoration of the Big Hole Battle will take place at the Big Hole Battlefield National Park in Wisdom, starting at approximately 10 a.m. near the Nez Perce Camp. The commemoration activities will include a pipe ceremony and drum circle. At 2 p.m. Michael Penney and Nez Perce Nation Drum will perform. Attendees are advised to bring water, sunscreen, blankets and/or folding chairs. Penney and Nez Perce Nation Drum will also perform Saturday at 7 p.m. at the May Creek Campground and on Sunday at noon at the Visitor Center. For more information, call 406-689-3155.

Wise River fest this weekend
Wise River Days will offer an art festival, garage sale, homemade food and activities for all ages Saturday–Sunday, Aug. 5–6, in the Community Building in Wise River from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go to the Wise River Community Foundation to benefit the senior citizens and the youth of the Wise River community, as well to the upkeep and maintenance of the Community Building. Jackson’s Garden brunch Sun.
Jackson’s Garden in Sheridan will host its 8th Annual Brunch Fundraiser on Sunday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to noon. Everyone is invited to attend the event, which will begin with a 9 a.m. ecumenical service and include a tour of the community flower and vegetable gardens whose products are included in the brunch. Admission is by donation, with all proceeds going to fund Jackson’s Garden, a non- profit organization formed to foster and grow the garden property. A raffle will also take place. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Ruby Valley Bank, Kindred Spirits, the Shovel & Spoon, and from Jackson’s Garden members. There will be silent auction items to bid on as well. Beer Fest Sun.
The annual Bale Beer Fest will feature products created by Montana breweries and distilleries in the big tent outside the historic Bale of Hay Saloon in Virginia City, from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6. Road Agent Rally Sun.
The Road Agent Rally on Sunday, Aug. 6, will roll out everything on wheels—from antiques, to customs, to rods, to bikes, to trucks—for a trip on the early roads of Montana during a fun weekend of music, good grub, great shops, entertainment and history. Register at 10 a.m. at the Dancing Buffalo, located at the Virginia City Depot for $20, which gets each participant a Virginia City welcome bag and a coupon bundle for restaurants, shops, and other local venues.
