UMW men follow Western women out of national tourney with second-round loss

The University of Montana Western men's basketball team on Friday joined its female counterpart on the outside looking back in at the remaining teams in the NAIA Division 1 tourneys.

The Bulldogs got outrebounded and outrun in a 79-60 loss to Dalton State in the final game of the second round in the 32-team NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship tourney on Friday night at Kansas City.

The loss to the Roadrunners ended the Dawgs' season about 12 hours after the Western women got knocked out in the second round of the NAIA women's tourney in Billings on a last-second shot by Oklahoma City University.
