Joyce Sneed Keltz Flynn
Joyce passed away peacefully at her home on May 12.
Joyce was born on March 13, 1937, in Checotah, OK, to Hobert and Mayme Sneed. They moved to Dillon, where Joyce grew up. She graduated from Beaverhead County High in May 1955 and attended Western Montana for three years. On March 18, 1956, Joyce married Casey Keltz, who was coach at Broadwater County High in Townsend. They had three children: Donnie, Brad and Sharon. In 1962, they moved to Dillon, where Casey was hired as the Bulldogs Head Football Coach at Western. They divorced in 1978.
In 1980, Joyce married Jim Flynn, Director of Fish Wildlife and Parks. They divorced in 1991. Joyce’s greatest love in life was watching her grandkids grow up and play sports.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband Casey Keltz. She is survived by: her children and grandchildren Sharon (Casey and Connor), Brad (Taylor and Jordan), Donnie (Dana and Josh); her sister, Patti Miller (Marvin), and their children Pam, Scott, Blake, Major and Radhika.
A memorial service will be held at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church in Helena on Saturday, May 24 at 2 p.m.
