Pay fair share

To the editor,

Recently my wife received a letter from the Montana Food Bank Network asking for a year’s end gift. We love the work the food bank is doing in our community and others. This is a time when the American congress is cutting the food stamp program and ending unemployment checks for over one million people.

The lines will get longer and longer at food banks and at the same the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. If we want to balance the budget, the moral way to do it is to have the rich pay their fair share.
