Due to the bitter cold weather last week, the annual Parade of Lights has been rescheduled for this Friday night starting at 6:30. The line-up will take place at the old Chamber of Commerce building at the end of South Montana Street prior to the parade. Entrants can register at the line-up.

The Parade of Lights will travel down South Montana Street to Center Street and loop back down Idaho Street. Once the parade is stretched down Idaho Street it will come to a stop to allow the public to view the entries and vote for their favorite.

The parade has grown every year, with floats, vehicles, bicycles, animals and many other innovative, brightly decorated entries. The first prize award is $100.

The Experience the Magic button promotion will continue this Saturday with the second drawing at 2 p.m. on the steps of Beaverhead County Courthouse. A button costs $3 and enters the purchaser in the drawing for cash and certificates in three separate prizes totaling over $700 per week.
