We are lucky in the USA

To the  editor,

Why does it seem when gas gets below $3 a gallon, there are more people on the road than usual?  I am not saying that this is a bad thing because I know when I go to gas up, I am happy that gas prices have dropped below $3 a gallon.  But I have a feeling that it will not be here for long.  When the gas prices decrease, some other thing always increases in price.  I hope the gas prices decrease some more, along with the diesel prices because they are also way too high.  I am thinking that the gas prices will stay at the $2.99 a gallon, and not decrease, then they will rise three or five cents a gallon at once.  I am hoping it stays down and keeps decreasing for everyone’s sake.

We are lucky because the average price is $3.30 and in other countries gas prices are up to $10 gallon.  I can see why $2.99 a gallon is a decent price for gas and seeing that others may pay $10.00 a gallon, we have it pretty good in the United States.  I am from a small town, and when we did our big shopping day, we drive 60 miles one way.  So we are happy they the prices have decreased a little bit.
