Donna J. Carpenter



Donna J. Carpenter, 62, a resident of Gooding, Idaho, passed away Nov. 10, at her home.

Donna was born May 12, 1951 in Christianburg, Va., the daughter of Donald and Jane Brown.  She attended Katherine Gibbs School in New Yor and spent one year in France studying art.  Donna moved to Idaho in 1978 from Christianburg.

Donna married Charles “Chuck” Carpenter on June 8, 1991, in Dillon, Mont.  Donna love to hunt, fish and be in the outdoors.  She had a passion for painting wildlife, landscapes, and portraits with oils.  She worked as a waitress for many years.  Donna was also a CNA and worked at Gooding Rehab and Living Center and later at Shoshone Rehab and Living Center.  She had many friends, and she will be remembered as always being happy and with a smile on her face.  Donna was a member of the Snake River Artisans.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck Carpenter of Gooding; son, Tanner (Diedra Ingles) Carpenter of Gooding; daughters Katie (Justin) Owens of Riner, Va., Jaydean (Robert) Carter of Sedalia, Colo., and Eliza (Weston) Jones of OWyhee, Nev.; brothers, Charlie (LEeAnn) Brown of Aurora, Ill., and Allen (Brenda) Brown of Bartonville, Texas. sister, Elizabeth (John) Price of Christianburg, Va.; eight grandchildren, Robert, Phillip, Anna, Willow, Justin, Haylee, Walter and Brogan; and many nieces, nephew, grandnieces, and grandnephews; Monther-in-law Shirley Carpenter of Dillon, Mont., brother-in-law Dean Carpenter of Dillon, and brother-in-law Rick (Julie) Carpenter of Willow Creek.  Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Jane Brown, and father-in-law Dick Carpenter.

No funeral service will be held at this time in staying with Donna’s wish.  Cremation arrangements will take place under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service, Gooding Chapel.
