George Fred Davis 1936–2013
George Fred Davis, 77, passed away on October 9, 2013, in Sheridan at the Tobacco Root Mountain Care Center, where he had lived for 13 years.
George was born August 26, 1936, in Trenton, NJ, but soon moved to Sheridan, WY, where he attended grade school. It was there he contracted encephalitis, which left him partially paralyzed and dependent on his parents care at home. After their passing, he moved to the Tobacco Root Mountain Care Center, which he enjoyed.
George was a “people person” and he loved everyone, especially the nurses who gave him exceptional care (and he loved teasing them). May the memory of his smile be a blessing to us all. He will be missed by many, but now he is forever united with God and his family and special friend Jody Williams and dog Daisy.
George was preceded in death by his mother and father, George and Evelyn Davis.
He is survived by: his sister, Shirley Harrington; niece Lynn Hirschy and family; and nephew Mark Harrington and family.
There was a private family service at the Mountain View Cemetery in Butte on Monday.
Memorials are preferred to the Tobacco Root Mountain Care Center at Sheridan.
